Livermore is known for its “World’s Fastest Rodeo”. Its first official rodeo was in 1918 to raise funds for the Red Cross to assist with World War I effort.

Livermore is also the home of the very first World Champion Bull Rider, Johnie Schneider.

This year, the rodeo will take place on June 9th and 10th. This is one you don't want to miss, because 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the Livermore Rodeo!

Location

The charming city of Livermore is located 45 miles east of San Francisco and just 33 miles north of San Jose, but you couldn’t be farther away from the urban bustle if you tried.

From San Francisco

Take the Bay Bridge/I-80 East toward Oakland. Take the I-580 east exit toward Downtown Oakland/Hayward-Stockton. To visit Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore, remain on I-580 East.

Take the 880 North toward Oakland. Take Mission Blvd. exit towards Sacramento and then ramp onto I-680 North. Take exit 21B from I-680 N to CA-84 E/Vallecitos Rd in Sunol. Take Holmes St to S Livermore Ave in Livermore

Take the I-880 South. Take exit 31 for I-238 toward Stockton/Fresno/I-580. I-228 turns into I-580 East. Merge onto I-580 E. Use any lane to turn right onto N Livermore Ave
